On Monday 23rd May 2022, Bridge Industrial submitted a planning application to demolish the existing 7 buildings that form the current Weybridge Business Park site, in order to construct a last-mile logistic fulfilment centre, across 3 buildings. The main building will be 60ft in height and span nearly 18,000 sqm.
The proposed site will be operational 24/7, with 15 HGV loading bays, 180 car parking spaces and 75 EV charging points, and will use the existing road infrastructure for access. The main access point to all 3 buildings will be via Addlestone Road.
The roads surrounding the proposed site are currently already under stress from traffic, this includes the A317, Weybridge Road, Hamm Moor Lane, Addlestone Road, Station Road and Church Street. This proposed development will see our local infrastructure endure further pressure and therefore have a significant impact on the local community.
What can we do to oppose this development?
Our best chance at fighting the proposals is for a large number of carefully written objections to be sent to the council before the 5th of July 2022.
